Typical Syllabus / Modules

  • Fundamentals / Pre-Production: Art & design basics (color theory, sketching, visual communication), storyboarding, scripting, layout, concept art, basics of photography, lighting, camera and cinematography.
  • 2D Digital Media: Graphic design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator), 2D animation (character design, frame-by-frame, tweening), digital painting and textures.
  • 3D Basics: Modeling, texturing, lighting, rigging, skeletons, skinning, animation in 3D space.
  • Visual Effects (VFX): Compositing, keying, rotoscoping, match moving, tracking, effects simulations (fire, water, particles), rendering, look-development.
  • Multimedia Tools / Editing: Video editing (Premiere Pro, Final Cut), motion graphics (After Effects), sound editing, audio mixing.
  • Post-Production & Pipeline: Project workflows (pre-prod → production → post), rendering pipelines, software optimization, asset management, project work, internships.
  • Specialization Electives: Game design/game art, architectural visualization, virtual/augmented reality, motion capture/simulation/advanced FX.

Eligibility


  • Typically +2 (10+2) or equivalent; some diplomas accept 10th grade.
  • For degree programs, good academic marks in +2.
  • Some institutes expect art/design aptitude, basic drawing skills, and computer familiarity.
